Time for a cover! I’ve always been a fan of Jan Hammer’s 80s pop synth magic (Police Quest 3 Soundtrack FTW!), so here is my take on his classic Miami Vice track “Crockett’s Theme”. (You kids might also remember it from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City).

My second entry for the Major Lazer competition. Had to give it a go, since I enjoyed making my first (non competition) entry so much. This one continues in the vein of mixing ragga and some junglist drum’n’bass.
Modest Mouse - Float On (GenErik’s OK Remix)
On a roll today. Two uploads in one day? Woot! Modest Mouse gets a pretty straight electronicification of my favourite track of theirs Float On. It floats on all right.
In the spirit of the Beatles remastered box sets, I thought I’d provide you with a remastered classic as well. Monophobe, my previous band, was/is a collaboration with song writer Angelo Cannavo, a stable of guest vocalists and myself. Adhering to no particular genre we would mix pop, rock and electronica before it was fashionable to do so.
Nothing Here was one of our final collaborations before I headed for Australia. It is an unassuming sweet pop song laid on top of some of a beat composed of pure noise (tracked chiptune style on an old module-based music tracker).
Here in a much improved master is a song that I feel should have gotten a bit more attention than it did when we made the demo in 2004.
My first mashup by request. Gumbuoy wanted to hear Lil Jon with the Beach Boys. Don’t ask me why.
